Italian 675 triples on the way

After Triumph's huge success with the Daytona 675 the Italians are following. Both MV Agusta and Benelli are well on their way developing their own 675cc triple engines.

Triumph found the recipe for success in the midrange sports bike market with the 675 and will be racing in World supersport next year. This looks to be the best new market niche for both Benelli and MV Agusta given that the Triumph 675 has proven an exciting and competitive package.

It is expected that both the Benelli 675 Tre and the MV Agusta 675 triple sports bikes will appear in Milan in 2009.
Meanwhile, MV sources have confirmed that with the injection of funds from the recent Harley-Davidson deal, it will proceed with production of a 675 triple cylinder sports bike in 2009.
